Support for the Project for Strengthening Capacity of Vietnam's Consumer Protection Administration (September 2014 - August 2017)

Enforcement of Vietnam's Consumer Protection Law in July 2011 required the Vietnamese government to enhance the law enforcement power. To this effect, the Project for Strengthening Capacity of Vietnam's Consumer Protection Administration (September 2014 - August 2017) was initiated in response to a request from the Vietnamese government to the Japanese government. In September 2014, The National Consumer Affairs Center of Japan (NCAC) dispatched its staff member as a long-term expert of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to the Vietnam Competition Authority.

NCAC also accepts trainees from Vietnam, dispatches trainers to Vietnam, and supports developing a consumer administration system in Vietnam.
